Overview
 
Published in partnership with the International Society of Zoological Sciences, Integrative Zoology is a new multidisciplinary journal aiming to encompass the varying perspectives and scholarly disciplines that contribute to the understanding of Zoological phenomena.
 
Aims and Scope
 
The official journal of the International Society of Zoological Sciences (ISZS) focuses on zoology as an integrative discipline encompassing all aspects of animal life. It presents a broader perspective of many levels of zoological inquiry, both spatial and temporal, and encourages cooperation between zoology and other disciplines including, but not limited to, physics, computer science, social science, ethics, teaching, paleontology, molecular biology, physiology, behavior, ecology and the built environment. It also looks at the animal-human interaction through exploring animal-plant interactions, microbe/pathogen effects and global changes on the environment and human society.
 
To support the Conference, Integrative Zoology is scheduled to publish a special issue on herpetological research in 2016.
 
Integrative Zoologyis published in partnership with the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Wiley-Blackwell. This journal focuses on zoology as an integrative discipline, encompassing all aspects of animal life, and aims to encompass varying perspectives and scholarly disciplines that contribute to the understanding of zoological phenomena. It presents a broad perspective of many levels of zoological inquiry, aiming to promote cooperation among different specialized fields. The Journal has been indexed by the SCI-E of Thomson Reuters, Medline, American BIOSIS Previews, Biological Abstracts, etc. The Impact Factor of released in the 2013 Journal Citation Reports (JCR) by the Institute for Scientific Information is 1.419, ranking in the top 30% of the 153 zoology journals.
Manuscripts that include research results (studies) are the primary type of article desired but review articles are also welcome. For review articles, the journal especially encourages commentary that highlights innovative ideas, developments, directions, misdirections, areas which need to be explored, future outlook, prior errors, problems, personnel, funding, or trends in the field.
 
If you plan to contribute a manuscript to our journal, please submit a tentative title and abstract to the editorial office, and submit your completed manuscript no later than May 31st, 2016. We are committed to promptly eva luating submitted papers and publishing those accepted. We do not charge a publication fee except for color graphs.
